So, I advice you to look elsewhere for another brand of cloud security camera, as now Canary devices are just overpriced simple web cameras, and if you want "all the features", then you can pay their monthly fees.

When I bought this and the Flex, Canary offered Night Mode and fairly robust security review (24 hours, I think).

The app is great, and I feel like I have a modern security camera, accessible anywhere, at a reasonable cost.

There also to be a “night mode” that was part of the free subscription that was a useful Security feature to set parameters while your family should be sleeping.

I expect I will probably have to get a different type/brand to get adequate exterior security, however.

There are a few things that need to be tweaked with the software, but overall it's a good security camera

If the home/away detection is ever fixed, this will be a great unit and I'd give it 5 stars, but at this point I'm more interested in a security camera that works all the time, not just when I've manually triggered the 'automated' features.

They need better security features such as calling police or notifying the user if there is a break in

I love the security that I have with canary at home and away from home .

If you want a constant stream of false alarm notifications on your phone OR if you want a security camera that completely misses most action (how did it not see me pulling out of my garage when my car needs to drive COMPLETELY ACROSS THE FIELD OF VIEW?!?!

Since I work from home and bought the device primarily as a security camera to deter package theft and the like, this removed almost all value from the camera
