If the connection is faulty, why does the scan even starts

The one chronic pain that I have is that the scanner looses connection if not used for a while (not sure of time needed to "disappear") while under the Canon software

Does not operate with my computer: the scan starts and then stops and a message appears saying that the connection is faulty

Only problem is I have had to disconnect and reconnect scanner after scanning 8 to 10 photos because it seems to lose the connection because I get a message that it can't find scanner.

You can not move anything, including the scanner lid while processing or it will loose the USB connection.

Like WTF, how do you even develop software that breaks Touch ID
