To test the scanning function, I used VueScan which is excellent scanning software by Hamrick Software

We just had to use the USB to use our printer and it does a good job printing/scanning.

I use it simply for printing documents, receipts, and pictures, as well as scanning documents to email and scanning receipts.

Love the copy and scan option and it is a good size

We purchased the MX922 after this piece of crap, which instantly connected to all of our computers and also had easy scanning setup.

I had purchased Canon products (camera and printers) and for most part they work as per the specs, though the user interface is not exactly friendly
