I ultimately decided that lighting versatility was far more important (aperture) than physical versatility (zoom).

The 1.4 aperture is incredibly fast

The combination of wide angle with fast aperture is difficult for most 5 series or lesser camera bodies to get right.

I love its large aperture, which do way much work in low light condition

I mention this first because one might be confused as to how to properly utilize a 24mm F1.4 lens.
