    Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM Wide Angle Lens - Fixed

    • If you need to shoot in tight spaces, this lens does it, if you want to capture a vast landscape, this lens does itSo if you’re a prime shooter like myself, and you want the best 24mm you can get, I believe this is the one.
    • A 35mm is nice, but I find it too close to a 50mm – take two steps back with a 50mm and you’re at 35mm.
    • If you're looking for the best 24mm lens for apertures at f/4 or wider, this is the ticket - albeit a pricey one.
    • All that being said, even with the (to me anyway) eye distracting Bokeh, I love my 24mm f/1.4L II USM
    • The more I thought about it, I realized that the hefty 70D + EF 24mm f/1.4 would get in the way of me taking the pictures and
    • If landscaping is your thing or you commonly shoot between f/5.6 and f/22, the 16-35mm @ 24mm (actually, the sweet spot on that lens) fared fairly well, but still short, with regard to picture quality versus this lens - these lenses cost about the same.
    • Instead I would recommend sigma 35mm f/1.4, which has lower price than 35L but has better performance
    • It's by far my favorite lens out of all of the ones that have crossed my path with the legendary 135mm f/2L USM coming in an equally solid 2nd.
    • As I have said in another lens review, I’m definitely not a Canon fanboy (my Ls all hold their own against Nikon’s counterparts), but this lens might be the best 24mm prime out there at the moment.
