It's almost as clear as my L Class lenses; much better than kit lenses
-
In most cases it is as good as more expensive lenses like the 10-22mm, and in some cases it has better sharpness.
-
If you already have the 18-55 STM and the 55-250 STM, this is a good addition to complete a set of decent and affordable lenses for both stills and video.
-
Colors are excellent and you don't get the blue tint common with some of the cheaper lenses
-
Great lense
-
This is good news for us crop users, as both these lenses are good,
-
Typically with mid-range zoom lenses like 18-135 mm its difficult to get head-shot with full vertical tower or a wide landscape in the background
-
The 10-18mm range perfectly complements kit lenses and standard zooms, which usually start around 15-18mm
-
But given the lack of competition in super wide stabilized silent EF-S lenses (or any Canon mount lens) and the price of anything vaguely similar, I think it's a reasonable compromise
-
I would really recommend this lense and I use it mostly at night for long exposure stuff.

This lense is absolutely amazing

Canon will sell a ton of these because image quality is comparable to much more expensive lenses.
-
I love this lense,I do sports photos and this will come in handy for the field shots.
-
This lens quickly became one of my favorite and most used lenses.
-
Very good lense!

Of course there are more expensive lenses out
-
This lense is amazing for wide-angle shooting
-
Best lenses to get to take pictures of rooms to really show off the
-
Also, the base models do not support silent focus and lack the dual pixel focus that make lenses like this works so well.
-
But it's a good lense.
-
One of my favorite lenses for my 70D
-
and I completely understand that lenses are limited and it takes all types to get those desired shots
-
As to the images, because certainly that is most important to me; I've used VERY expensive lenses of this focus length and the Canon EF-S 10-18 STM is VERY comparable at a far lower price....
-
This has become one of my favorite lenses
-
Bottom line is, if you're thinking about this lense compared to a cheaper off brand lense...get this one and you will NOT be disappointed
-
Hands down one of Canon's Best crop body lenses for landscapes
-
The whole "plasticy"ness in general that so many people complain about with cheaper lenses like these doesn't phase me, i only care about the glass itself, and the image quality it can achieve... which in this case is very respectable, no complaints at all
-
Great lenses, met my expectations
-
I usually love Canon lenses and, for the price, this seemed like a great bargain
-
I can not imagine that the lenses that cost up to $2000 can be any better to the amateur photographer.
-
Great little lens will worth it better than the L lens for cheaper price L
-
I just wish I could afford the better lens(s)
