    Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens

    • Considering the only other EF-S option out there (10-22mm) is more than twice this price, well, you see where I am going with this.
    • However, 10mm is amazing as I used to shoot with a kit lens, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM , and it was the best thing I ever saw when I saw 10mm
    • This lens pretty much finishes my stable of "standard" STM lenses - I've got it, the 18-55mm, the 18-135mm, the 55-250mm and a 50mm (1.8) prime as well
    • - I think this might be the best deal in an all-around, great, low-priced lens since Canon's "nifty fifty" (50mm f1.8)
    • This and my 50mm (nifty fifty) are my go to lenses.
    • Not very fast (f/4.5-5.6; personally I use this on a tripod with long exposure settings most of the times, so it's not really a problem) and quite no bokeh at all, but it's not supposed to work as an 85mm
    • (I've found the 10-22mm's settings, with some adjustments, work fine)
    • Like the old Canon EF-S 10-22mm and practically all ultra-wide angle lenses, images are a little bit soft in the corners at 10mm
    • I would LOVE to have this lens at f/4, or f/3.5 (like the 18-55mm kit lenses), or even better, f/3.2 or f/2.8 for wide open.
    • The 10-18mm came very highly recommended, was, in comparison to a lot of lenses at least, rather inexpensive, and was the wide-angle, non-fisheye lens I'd been looking for
    • The super wide 10mm allows me to get shots that previously would have been impossible, especially in small, cramped rooms, and from a very cool perspective as well
    • This lens, the 10-18 mm IS blows the 10-22 out of the water, at least the copy i have has very good sharpness corner-to-corner and in the center it's comparable to L-series lenses, even wide open
    • Enough to keep you going until you can afford the holy grail of APS-C vlogging, the weather sealed Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 AF.
    • Bought this lens for landscape obviously and I loved the 10mm as it's hard to find anything around that for this cheap
    • don't miss the 2 mm on the wide end and the extra 10 mm makes a huge difference
    • For landscapes and architecture/real estate the 10-18mm on an inexpensive Rebel will be fine for most
