Outdoor shots were fine but noticed quality was better keeping in mind the aperture settings were from F8 or higher

I always get amazing photos from my L series lenses and also get amazing shots from my non L series

but I made some lemonade and made some "artistic" shots utilizing the flare

Exterior shots will be fine in good sunlight, interior might be a challenge.

My favorite wide shots all begin with an interesting subject in the foreground that then fades into the background.

Simply put, this lens has allowed me to get some really amazing shots that just wouldn't have been possible with any other lens that doesn't cost at least twice as much.

Excellent wide angle shots for a decent priced lens.

I was worried the f-stop of 4.5 was too narrow for good sunset shots, but the pics I've shown are with the very very last bits of the sunset, so my worries were meaningless (not the best pics but wanted to show all the light coming in, even though it was pretty dark already)

I purchased lens hood and b&w filter to ensure that my nature shots would be crystal , and also that my group shots would look great

I used a tripod for my darker shots so this was not an issue for me

I would recommend this to any photographer who loves those wide shots, won't break the bank is reliable.

It's small enough that it travels easy and takes great detailed shots

I use it a lot with my steadycam for smooth shots that have a bigger depth of field

Took this on a scenic trip along PCH over the winter and got plenty of wonderful shots of the California coastline.

I personally don’t consider it a drawback as it can lead to some very creative shots.

I just wish I could afford the better lens(s)
