If you are scanning photos, be certain that you set it to the highest quality (slowest) scan if you want your scans to match the exact coloring and quality of your original photo.(4)

I did notice that the highest quality photo papers produced the worst scans.

Simple, easy, space saving and you get great scans.

Scanning documents were pretty easy after setting the options to my needs, setting the dpi higher than automatic, for example the maximum 600 dpi, did slow down the scanning process, as expected, higher quality, slower scan

I did not get this primarily for that purpose, although I did want it for scanning other office items (brochures, pamphlets, work docs, sending scanned hard copies of files to people via PDF, receipts, etc.), and it's fantastic for that purpose

CONCLUSIONIf this scanner could produce a perfect photo scan every time, I would give it 5 stars, because I really do love the scanner itself, the software, and the quality of the first few scans after cleaning.
