I've used cheap off brand ink and they typically clog the printer heads after a while.

I also ended up with clogged print heads and at least 1 trashed printer

I avoid imitation cartridges as I have found they clog the print heads quickly

Some of the generic inks with this newest generation of printers measuring picoliters can clog up the print heads

I used Canon-compatible inks on a previous printer (Canon MX310), which clogged the print head several times, the last of which damaged the print heads.

Works as it should.
