When I'm printing text only documents, I change the setting to grayscale and fast print to use much less ink

I also ended up with clogged print heads and at least 1 trashed printer

These ink cartridges print very well

One of the advantages of buying canon cartridges is that they contain good quality ink and you can get away with printing on "fast print" setting in your printer with no problems at all

To further save on ink & avoid printing unnecessary stuff (like logos and advertising on various websites), you can change your print options to "print only the selected frame".Lastly, when the printer tells you the ink cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced -- just press the "ok" button on the printer and keep doing so it until your ink truly does run out

When it matters, go to a better quality printing in the settings of your printer

It may not be required but my printers work just fine and the prints are great.

I had to do deep cleanings often (the pages were horrible in the black when printed), and therefore the ink was wasted

Canon inks have superior print qality and cost less in the long run.

Printers are now cheaper and much better than a few years ago because they use smaller dropplets of ink to deliver a smooth and rich print.

We go through a cartridge maybe every other month, with significant printing in between.

I have printed federal government forms with bar codes on "Fast Print" with no problem

The ink lasts forever and I get great printing results from all Canon inks I use

Since I have two Canon printers, I have learned long ago, only buy genuine Canon ink for the best photo prints

Another problem is that the printer takes forever to get in a print ready state.
