Great zoom, makes wonderful photos!

I forget how much technology can change in such a sort time and I can't wait to take amazing photos

I have had the Powershot series for several years now, and the amateur photos I take with it, have earned me 4 awards including "grand prize" and "people's choice" in 2 years, against professional photographers with much more complicated equipment.

I set it on a tripod andtook a photo of the other side of a lake and was happy with how well that photo came out

This camera creates beautiful photos effortlessly.

The SX720 takes fine photos in mid- and bright-light settings, but in low-light situations it's poor

Here is what I like:~Very good photo quality, with sharp detail and accurate colors~Good video quality, with only a little noise from the zoom motor.~Flash evenly distributes light~Image Stabilizer is very effective, for both photos and videos~Full manual controls are available (photos only)~Menus are very easy to use~Plenty of features~40x zoom is the longest I've ever seen in a camera that can fit in your pocket!~Canon's unique "Zoom Assist" feature is very helpful when I'm photographing birds that are constantly flying out of my screen's view.~LCD screen is big and clear~"ECO" mode will turn off the camera's screen after the it's not been used for awhile and bring it back on at the press of any button; that's greatfor saving battery power

Low light photos were not as crisp as I'd like but didn't use tripod which might increase sharpness

the photos are great.

It does have a lot of features that are over my head, but once I study the user manual, I will probably take even better photos.

It is compact, feels good in the hand, and takes excellent photos, even at the extreme zoom (has a 40x zoom).

So far, I love the "Live" mode because it's easy to quickly set your color and contrast settings to achieve beautiful photos with no after-effects needed

It seems to take very good photos in low-light, and the 20X optical zoom adds a lot of power in taking long shots.

First, the camera takes amazing photos, and the optical zoom is incredible

Brought it to an airshow and got some beautiful photos while my friends' had the planes look kinda small.

It's less bulky and much easier to carry than larger cameras, offers a variety of photo options and most importantly, takes beautiful photos.

I got this PowerShot because it took better photos than my old PowerShot.

I take wild life photos and there is often no time for set up,

Initially, I thought that anything more than 15x or 20x would be overkill because I thought it would be impossible to hold the camera steady enough for a clear photo or video that would not be shaking all over the place.
