I recommend this camera to anyone who wants a point and shoot with good features.

You can charge the battery and start taking great pictures, but studying the manual (You can download it free before purchasing camera.) is needed to take full advantage of all the great features.

Pretty good camera for a point and shoot with enough features to give decent pictures under a variety of conditions.

The Nikon has a number of great manual override features that are easily accessible, and are not easy on the Cannon

The small size is great for travel and the camera is easy to operate.

Excellent features and good quality, high resolution images all in a compact size.

Compact size allows me to carry it in my small purse everywhere.

Initially, I thought that anything more than 15x or 20x would be overkill because I thought it would be impossible to hold the camera steady enough for a clear photo or video that would not be shaking all over the place.

Here is what I like:~Very good photo quality, with sharp detail and accurate colors~Good video quality, with only a little noise from the zoom motor.~Flash evenly distributes light~Image Stabilizer is very effective, for both photos and videos~Full manual controls are available (photos only)~Menus are very easy to use~Plenty of features~40x zoom is the longest I've ever seen in a camera that can fit in your pocket!~Canon's unique "Zoom Assist" feature is very helpful when I'm photographing birds that are constantly flying out of my screen's view.~LCD screen is big and clear~"ECO" mode will turn off the camera's screen after the it's not been used for awhile and bring it back on at the press of any button; that's greatfor saving battery power

Great quality of pictures and movies: color, zoom, detail, etc

Light sensitivity, small size, 40X zoom, 1080P video, large memory options, what looks like accurate colors, and a good path to upload to my laptop

The color is not very good, and when you zoom in, the quality is not sharp and clear.

I take wild life photos and there is often no time for set up,

Within 4 days, I noticed blurry photos

It seems to take very good photos in low-light, and the 20X optical zoom adds a lot of power in taking long shots.

It is compact, feels good in the hand, and takes excellent photos, even at the extreme zoom (has a 40x zoom).

I love the 40x optical zoom and the photos are crystal clear

As a bicycle tourer and enthusiastic point and shoot amateur photographer, I look for maximum performance in the smallest package

I was looking for a compact point-and-shoot with a powerful zoom and this camera does not disappoint!

This is a very nice little camera with a lovely 40 x optical zoom and image stabilization, all for a very reasonable price.

this was a good price, but very disappointed

The color is not very good, and when you zoom in, the quality is not sharp and clear.

Bad low light picture quality - if anything is remotely moving it comes out blurred.

Also, the zoom is crazy with how far it can go with excellent image quality

I received my camera (on time, to their credit) and immediately the quality was awful

but the zoom is excellent, and the quality of the photos is good.

It has much better image quality than my Galaxy S7 phone and also an amazing zoom.

Great little camera, would have liked if there was an eye viewfinder, the image you are taking a photo of is hard to see in the bright sunlight

This has been the best camera ever, great zoom, fantastic image stabilization, great low level lighting performance, have taken over 15,000 pictures on a 4 week trip, performed circles around full size DSLRs, and it so small, fits in shirt pocked, its now my go to camera for future trips, highly recommend it to be the primary camera

You can get very sharp, high-quality images with this camera at night if you mount the camera
