Capresso 303.01 4-Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Machine

    • I attempted this several times, with several pitcher styles, trying to accomplish this and all it did was splatter milk all over the place.
    • I like the milk
    • I had enough hot milk for the full amount of espresso, plus two giant plops of foam for each cup
    • The milk is frothed, the espresso sweet and my cappuccino delicious
    • I love the coffee and the steamed milk it makes
    • For me, you have to kind of scratch off the hardened milk, and that always gets me nervous that maybe I have not washed enough that i will get part of hardened milk in my next coffee... but at least i haven't gotten sick from it.. yet...
    • Tried frothing Almond Milk instead of regular milk, but its not the machine Almond milk does not froth as good as milk
    • Makes a good cappuccino and frothy milk
    • (I left it too cold and too much milk left, but more on that later)
    • I saw the Capresso on amazon, ordered it, it makes great espresso and froths the milk, perfect...
    • Heats fast, steams the milk like crazy & easy to use & clean.
    • I had a lot of bubbly cold milk
    • so milk smells like plastic after steaming.
    • It frothed the milk really well and made a great cup of espresso.
    • Once the milk is hot and frothed, shut off the side steamer and turn on the front steamer
    • For steaming milk (use fatty milk) the plastic 'frother' is attached to a metal rod and you can use it with or without the plastic attachment.
    • Nice machine makes excellent coffee and milk will be hotter and frothed as I like it
    • I also use a wet rag to clean the dried milk off of the metal part of the nozzle every time I use it
    • The coffee comes out warm, but add the luke warm milk and before you get half way through the cup of cap, it's too cold to continue drinking
    • so milk smells like plastic after steaming.
    • It took 5 or 6 tries, before I finally got the hang of frothing & steaming the milk
    • The steamer is powerful and after a few tries we were able to make out perfect steamed milk.
    • Does a great job frothing the milk, but you probably will want to prewarm the milk in the microwave for 30 secs so it will be hot when finished.
    • It is difficult to find a good milk frothing pitcher though
    • LIKES-- compact unit (doesn’t take up too much counter space)-- easy to use & clean, uncomplicated-- produces good quality of expresso, froths milk nicely-- easy to fill with coffee, with sufficient space to avoid spilling grounds all overDISLIKES-- prone to breaking down very quickly and dangerously (the 2 I’ve had so far have had issues with a faulty water seal, leading to spraying hot water out the top and then a faulty steamer that also sprayed out boiling milk all over the machine when it would suddenly lurch in the middle of operation, sometime hitting the carafe)-- no frothing pitcher-- can run out of steam for frothingTIPSSteam the milk first to avoid using all the water/steam pressure when making the coffee and having none left for steamingAbsolutely release any remaining steam/pressure and turn off machine before opening the lid to add more waterAllow machine to fully heat water before using, this takes my machine about 5
    • nice frothy milk.
    • The taste is great, frothing milk is easy, and cleanup is a snap
    • no fuss and made wonderful, rich coffee with excellent frothed milk
    • I use skim milk and works very well
    • I had a lot of cold milk
    • Is the milk foamer useful in any way
    • Makes perfect frothy milk just like in Starbucks venti latte.
    • Start with cold milk and froth
    • I don’t ever use the milk frother, I boil the milk in the microwave half cup for 1:20 minutes
    • If the milk gets too hot, the froth will start to disappear.
    • But the frustrating part has always been the need to be present when brewing, and frothing/steaming the milk is always a pain (splatters a lot) and time consuming.
    • I was not able to warm milk or froth milk at all with it on.
    • But you need to buy a pitcher yourself in order to make the milk forthing easy to pour into your coffee
    • I got burnt and spilled by hot milk today
    • You might need a different cup with smaller width and less milk to be effective.
    • The manufacturer states, not to run the steam through your coffee at the end, use it to froth milk or vent it off, to prevent the burnt taste.
    • Maybe it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive machines, but it makes good espresso with nice krema, and froths milk really well thanks to the venturi nozzle - if you have the right sized and shaped receptacle to hold the milk.
    • I had some barely warm milk
    • the wand doesn't go far enough into the standard size stainless mini pitcher causing me to HAVE to poor more milk than I need into the
    • Makes good expresso, and froths milk well.
    • I strong recommend it!
    • Does Capresso's $60 deal make espresso as good as his $4K one?
