Many more people are happy with it it seems as I read reviews before I purchased

This is a steam based machine and not pump based like most people are used to

(I had tried to remove the cap when the chamber was still hot, and the suction pulled it loose) and I reread the reviews to see that several other people had this problem

I know other people have mentioned issues with this unit breaking down not long into

I think people are too harsh on this model because it's not a "audiopilot" kind of espresso maker

It got 3 stars and people were disappointed in the quantity of coffee and the force, or lack thereof, of steam.

Some people are allergic to aluminum
