Connecting to a project for example would seem like a handy feature for a teacher, however, I'm unlikely to ever use the function

Another nice feature is that it doesn't replace what you've typed in if you want to insert an integer or variable you forgot, which annoyed the hell outta me on the 84.

Good features

The backlight is a nice feature as well, although I don't see too much of a need for it as I do homework in good lighting.

The only small disadvantage is that connecting it to the internet isn't as easy as with TIs, and there appear to be fewer programmes available for the Casio

But if you go on to study circuits and upper level engineering topics, then this Casio 9860gii sits in a sort of "nowhere-land" -- It isn't as powerful or usable as you'd like, but also not as simple or cheap as some of Casio's great scientific calculators.
