The characters and backgrounds are very well-drawn, the tunes set the tone well, the controls are top notch, the storyline is great, and the animation is perfect
-
The enemies are very cool to look at (nice animation) however, that doesn't stop you from wanting to shead much blood
-
The animation is great, the enemies are imaginative and varied, the controls are quick and responsive, the exploration is fun
-
Not just the level design looks fantastic with a slight mix 3D at times (especially the inverted castle later in the game), but the character and death animations are beautifully smooth and fun to look at
-
It's enthralling musical score and wonderful animation may not equate to more than ten hours on your first try, but I doubt anyone will get everything in the game on their first try
-
The graphics are impressive, for it's time, as well as the animation and control
-
The animation of your character, the monsters, the castle details and even some of the 3D backgrounds are top notch for the PS1 as well

Many creatures scream as they explode/melt/burn/vanish/etc
