I have my own shoulder rest that works better--which means I had to take the chin rest off

and I prefer the everest shoulder

When looking at it you can see on the top right shoulder, the varnish was not clearly even.

But if I have to replace the bridge, get a decent shoulder rest, and get a case that can hold it all correctly, I might as well have gone with a more expensive kit to begin with.

This is a nice 1/2 size starter set that includes everything a kid would need to get started, including a decent shoulder rest, tuner, and music book

It is definitely NOT a toy or a cheap-o, and I can see myself playing it for a long time
