Cecilio CVN-500 Solidwood Ebony Fitted Violin with D'Addario Prelude Strings, Size 4/4 (Full Size)

    • The strings were tinny, so a friend replaced them with warmer sounding strings
    • The D'Addario strings sound wonderful on this
    • (We have owned the first for over 3 years) and they have good sound.
    • It's looks are fantastic to us and the sound is superb for such a low cost violin
    • The luthier stated that this is a good violin for the price, and has a very nice sound
    • I finally ordered an Evah Pirazzi E string and it tuned and played instantly with great sound
    • The fingerboard is very good on this violin and the strings are easy to press without getting ugly sounds (except my inexperienced intonation!
    • I cannot vouch for the quality of wood itself, but the instrument does produce a beautiful sound
    • The sound from the Cecilio is on the bright and metallic side, but not scratchy.
    • Nice quality build, the sound tanks as acceptable to me, but my student seems to really like it
    • For the price this is an excellent violin for intermediate players who are able to get a better sound out of an instrument.
    • Bridged arrived out of place, but otherwise the instrument has great sound
    • The sound is great but needs break-in, the bows are ok but can be upgraded, the strings are good and it tunes very well
    • The sound is loud and clear
    • She also mentioned that it has a nice sound and stays in tune.
    • Great sound
    • It is definitely NOT a toy or a cheap-o, and I can see myself playing it for a long time
    • Which is great oddly even with the change of strings the D string resonates way louder than any of the others
