I don't like strong coffee and am finding that no matter how few grinds, the coffee is stronger and a completely different flavor that what I'm used to.

In my opinion, there is no better system to produce great flavored coffee!

I have used a French Press for many years because the flavor is fantastic.

This takes more effort, but the flavor is so much better.

While I still prefer the taste of the french press, the Chemex gives me the best flavor I've ever had with filtered coffee.

Store-brand and Starbucks-brand beans tend to be over-roasted and require a different grind to extract the right flavors.

We use the "Cafe 1820 Coffee Whole Bean Kilo From Costa Rica" that we bought in Costa Rica and is available on Amazon, and the Chemex keeps the smooth, easy, luscious flavor intact.

I can not believe the robust flavors, no burnt, plastic or acidic taste just pure smooth nutty robust flavor!!

You can use the glass vessel with other cones, but I prefer the bright clear flavors associated with the Chemex brand filters

Great flavor, no bitter after taste

For years I've used either my French press or my automatic drip coffee maker, preferring the flavor actually of my automatic drip.

After a decade of ultimate disappointments, the Chemex has recaptured some of that basic good coffee flavor without much fuss

I buy natural flavored ground beans, use filtered water (ZeroWater pitcher), boil on a gas stove, let coffee grounds bloom for 30 seconds, and when I pour the rest of the hot water I place the Chemex on the warm gas burner to drip.

I have yet to invest in a nice coffee grinder, but so far a medium grind seems to yield the best flavor.

If you are a fan of the French Press, Chemex coffee doesn't have the same strong, heady flavor.

It is obviously not the most convenient way to make coffee, but it is fairly simple once you get it down and the coffee retains its great taste because there are no grounds in it to spoil the flavor.

Let the flavor bloom first then pour for the perfect drip and flavor!

Great flavor and a cleaner cup of coffee than French Press.

The flavor is much better than any drip maker I've used and the cup isn't muddy or bitter from using a French press

It does take some time to brew manually with the Chemex but the way the brewer is designed gets maximum flavor, no bitterness from coffee

The flavor was so noticeably better than anything I've had that I just had to figure out how to replicate this taste at home

Highly recommend the Home Barista filter to allow full flavor without any sludge as opposed to paper filters

This is basically a very nice pour over and takes about the same amount of time to make as a French press (~6 minutes), but doesn't leave behind any sediment and has a excellent flavor profile

We use with a stainless steel filter so all of the oils aren't absorbed into the paper filter - makes for a rich, robust flavor

This thing looks good when it's new, but the wooden finish deteriorates as it gets wet

I laugh often because people will comment on my fancy coffee-maker (yes, I went for the wood collar), when it is actually about as primitive as it gets.

The wooden collar protects you from the heated glass as you're pouring, which is a nice addition as well

The filter papers, though pricy, work exactly as they should

The handle could be just a little bit bigger, as it's sometimes a little hard to grab a hold of, but besides that it's great
