I bought this after hearing one of my friends' whistles and for the price I paid, this is an outstanding quality tin whistle

I had purchased a cheaper tin whistle with a plastic mouth piece but this one with its wooden mouth piece is so much easier to get quality tones from.

If you want the best tin whistle, then this is the one you need!

The tin is very soft and I recommend very slowly and carefully(if you are a mechanical kind of person) prying up and flattening this area somewhat and bringing it down as I directed, by placing a smooth flat metal object on the edge, thin cloth in between if worried about scratching and lightly tap with a hammer, do a couple taps, play the whistle, work slowly and carefully.
