The instructions are very clear

Consequently the scans are not in as sharp focus as one would like.

The 14 MP makes for a good photo file.

I have only done prints but they turned out as good as the original print, maybe better since you can adjust the exposure a couple clicks.

You lift the unit off the base, lie the photo in place and replace the base to capture
