ClearStream 4 Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna with Mount - 70 Mile Range

    • Good signal
    • Replaced an older antenna and the signal with this antenna is very much clearer
    • XL Digital HDTV Preamplifier to boost the signal
    • You want a strong signal and low noise.
    • It's simple; instead of amplifying a noisy signal, buy a bigger directional antenna
    • We are 35 miles from the towers and no matter where I tried placing this antennae it never got a better signal than the cheap $20 inside antennae I already had
    • Some bought an amplifier to further boost this combined signal
    • With more consistent signal than cable
    • A good signal has always been a problem
    • This thing just pulled the signal in like a BEAST
    • The problems were entirely from the cable run, not the antenna which I know because I hooked this up in my family room directly to my TV first, and at ground level, pointed vaguely in the correct direction, I had fantastic signal on almost all the UHF channels (and okay/poor signal on ones that were really outside of the expect range or direction).
    • Set this up and every UHF channel possible is coming in with excellent signal strengthj.
    • It took a few tries facing it in different directions to get the best signal, but we get 26 crystal clear local channels.
    • I live about 30 miles from the towers for the local stations and this antenna picked up all of the VHF and UHF channels with a strong signal
    • Already own the 2V and thought this would bring in the signal even stronger but really had no change even with heavy foliage
    • I am pointing the antenna south because that is where the majority of the available signals come from in my
    • This is a great UHF antenna that gets really good signal.
    • Signal breaks,fragments and fades
    • Where to mount the AntennaAlthough you will lose a little signal, I recommend mounting it in your attic.
    • It works great, and pulls in a nice strong signal.
    • The video from strong signals is sharper than the picture yielded by a previous antenna, but weak signals that are even less than 35 miles
    • All local channels came in clear with great signal and the antenna was only 15ft off the ground
    • Clouds can improve signals at times and other times hinder them
    • I tried to mount it inside my attic at first, but most of our TV towers are 45 miles away and we weren't getting great signal (even with an amplifier)
    • This thing works great, clear crisp signal.
    • I had to buy another VHF antenna to get a good quality signal for KSBW in the Central Coast area of California
    • I unplugged my $10 HDTV antenna and connected up this one and had much, much better signal strength and more channels too
    • I receive solid signals with a little more signal gain and super stability
    • I receive solid signals with a little more signal gain and super stability
    • after three other antennas, this one bangs right in there with a crisp strong signal, no chatter or in and out
    • Granted, I am on a hill and the weather conditions are pretty good tonight, but I can get consistent signal every day, any time, from channels over 50 miles away
    • Our signal used to break up all the time, evidently because the antenna was weak (indoor, flat type, 12"x12").
    • Yes, the reception chart on several sites says there should have been a GOOD, not STRONG signal
    • This antenna brings in everything with a very good signal
    • clear signal
    • Clouds can improve signals at times and other times hinder them
    • The video from strong signals is sharper than the picture yielded by a previous antenna, but weak signals that are even less than 35 miles
    • Do not get NEAR 70 miles, but we get 30-40 miles with good signal
    • I'm going to try mounting it to the roof and see if it can get a better signal a little higher up, but I don't have high expectations.
    • but others still get weak signal.
    • As winter came the signal slowly degraded until the station no longer came in.
    • Switched to this antenna and suddenly I get all available channels without weak signal fade away.
    • Only some of which are not visible due to weak signals.
    • This is up in our attic, just leaning against a support beam, and we get almost perfect signal on all the major channels plus several additional ones
    • I’m extremely pleased with ClearStream 4 and recommended with Winegard LNA-200 Boost XL Digital HDTV Preamplifier to boost the signal if you live way out like me.
    • Before the antenna, I got zero signal across all stations, not even static.
    • Determined it was due to an 8 port splitter and killing the signal.
    • We've had some really bad storms the last few days and the signal stayed strong
    • Great range and signal.
    • A good signal has always been a problem
    • This was the only thing that would pull a consistently strong signal
    • Tvfool.com says the tower with the best signal is 55 miles away
    • This antenna really did not provide any better signal then the 6"x6" metal plate version we had prior.
    • You're receiving a straight feed of pure signal; not the retrans version from your satellite or cable provider.
    • I finally got stable signal from NBC.
    • And, i'm getting a good signal no cut outs
    • I am only 22 miles from the broadcast antennas but could not get a clear signal due to other buildings and trees in the way.
    • In fairness I have been told that it has a weak signal and people around me do have problems picking it up even though I have an electrified amplifier
    • I had the ClearStream 4 placed in my attic and now receive every signal available clearly and with no pixilation regardless of the weather
    • gonna try signal boosting amp and then see but the antenna alone is not as powerful as it claims !
    • This is a directional antenna and proper orientation is important for the best signal reception.
    • I split the signal in two right at the antenna.
    • With this setup in the attic I received 38 with good, almost full, signal on all of them, but no channel 2
    • Please note that pre-amps don't power the antenna itself, they just boost the signal that the antenna is already pulling in on its own
    • Set this up on my moms house so she could cut her cable, but the signal reception even with generally open clear signaling (over farm fields towards our nearest broadcasting hub) didn't yield nearly as many channels as it should have
    • Bought the antenna, hooked up directly to TV and got great signal
    • we had some really awesome signal strength coming in
    • Cancelled DirecTV, took dish off pole, added this antenna, signal was bad.
    • It was easy to install and we have a clear signal.
    • Once I brought it outside, I've been getting clear signal for the past 12 months
    • Even though we are in a very rural area, the ClearStream4 is pulling in strong and breathtakingly clear digital signals from our two nearest major metropolitan cites - city #1 is 50 miles away due E, and city # 2 is 90 miles away ENE
    • It gets a stronger signal than the Leaf, but is more direction sensitive.
    • Good clear signal, what more can you want?
    • On windy days the signal breaks up even on strong stations that normally come in ok
    • When you split the signal from the antenna to three tvs or more signal gets greatly degraded.
    • There was no noticeable signal degradation splitting the signal.
    • The signal has improved for the most part, although things fluctuate from day to day.
    • I tried many different ways to hook the equipment up, we are less than 40 miles from all the towers I could need but could not get a clear signal worth watching.
    • Concerned that getting a good signal might be a problem i purchased the model with two double loops and happy to say that reception is perfect, better than I had hoped.
    • I had to call Antennas Direct for a question related to splitting the signal, and their representatives were phenomenal.
    • Never did get a clear signal from it on a sustainable basis.
    • The signals from the north (which my antenna is not pointing towards) come in at a much weaker signal and sometimes drop out in bad
    • The signal is strong
    • Finally got a good signal using two antenna.
    • I was surprised that I wouldn't need an amp to boost the signal
    • great i like it
    • I would recommend this antenna as i looked around and did some research before choosing this one
    • not as well as I'd like
