I can also tell the material is more flexible and it "hugs" the rug rather then "floats" like the Floortex mat does which secures the Staples mat a lot better to the carpet

The material is more clear than what I had before which is an advantage to blend in with a lighter carpet

I have this on short carpet, but the material just seems very brittle for this sort of product.

Maybe the material attracts dirt and the factory wasn't too clean?

Also, the material the mat is made from is soft and it tends to allow the wheels of the chair to create an indentation which then forces you to exert extra force to move the chair of its indentations

The major plus was the more environmentally safe materials used (it gets 1 star for this) & the smell was much less (it gets 1 star for this) than other floor-mats we've had in the past

You can spend a lot of money buying very fancy beveled edges and other stronger materials in the mats, but this one works fine and it's priced right.

I contacted the company by e-mail and Dawn at Floortex wanted an image of the mat showing the damaged area and a copy of the purchase receipt, which I could have easily given.
