I contacted the company by e-mail and Dawn at Floortex wanted an image of the mat showing the damaged area and a copy of the purchase receipt, which I could have easily given.

I did appreciate the instructions in the box explaining that you have to be VERY patient waiting for this to happen, because it took 3 full days for it to soften up enough to spread out even in a fairly warm room
What I expected, pretty decent size for my L shape desk, you have enough room to back up, I flipped it upside down
I would recommend anyone buying this put in warmest room in your home, or even outside in sunshione to get it to go flat
I followed the instructions on the box and left the map out for a couple of days in a warm room
It needs to be at room temp or warm but will flatten out quickly.

The only issue is the size of this mat is a bit small for my super sized executive chair
I am not sure I would because they are expensive, small size, slip easily on smooth wood surface, and came shipped rolled up (they are very stiff so to flatten them out took almost 2 weeks).
It slides easily and the sizing is odd; longer and narrower than the size I was accustomed to.
This mat is substantial and the perfect size for our needs.

And the material is so hard, it's difficult to wrestle this thing where you want it to go
The material of the mat is hard, stiff, and cannot be bent.
It's a good strong material and after owning it for a few
Also, the material the mat is made from is soft and it tends to allow the wheels of the chair to create an indentation which then forces you to exert extra force to move the chair of its indentations
I can also tell the material is more flexible and it "hugs" the rug rather then "floats" like the Floortex mat does which secures the Staples mat a lot better to the carpet

Takes a while to flatten out, but it was rolled and packed in such away that it curls into the carpet anyway, so not much of a trip hazard during the initial set up.
It is more of a tripping hazard now that it is still wavy under my office chair.
I put weights on it the other way over night and it is still curling at the corners causing trip hazards.
At this point it's serving more as a tripping hazard than anything else
I put heavy books and heavy chairs on them for several days and they were still a little rolled on the edges (a major trip hazard) and have a bubble in the centers.
