    Cobra 75WXST 40-Channel CB Radio

    • Sound is crisp and clear but the internal speaker won't be heard well if you have the radio on at the same time
    • great CB good speaker easy to use no complaints recommend to anyone wanting a starter radio
    • It wasn't "off frequency," it's just that the speaker was faulty.
    • Some of the lower-end radios "forget" and reset to channel 1 if they only have one power wire and you want to have the radio come on with the ignition.-The scan feature works well if you are in unfamiliar territory or feeling particularly social.-The speaker is clear and loud.
    • Speaker stop working
    • I miss my external speaker, but am getting along without it at the moment
    • Also the speaker is almost impossible to hear at highway speeds with the soft top on my jeep, I solved this by using a pyle mono amp (also mounted under the console and a 3" external speaker
    • The speaker is very bad!
    • It's not terrible, and communication is easy and effective, just not quite as good as a big speaker
    • Would recommend an external speaker
    • Just wish it had a pa feature and also the speaker could be louder
    • but I do recommend an external speaker to hear it better.
    • Pros: compact, weather, pa, versatile mounting, always on backlightCons: lame internal speaker, unusual connection to power box, small displayThese all in one units are good for those with no room or theft concerns but do not compare to full size units

    • I have an external speaker hooked up which works much better
    • Good clarity so an external speaker isn't needed unless you want one outside the truck
    • On my first trip with the radio, the internal speaker stopped working -- less than 20 miles into the trip
    • Internal speaker is very poor
    • The speaker did not work on this unit right out of the box
    • Speaker is very loud and I can still clearly hear it over the sound of tires and wind.
    • Com) and see if a warrantee center (not just a dealer) is near you if you have any concerns about this unit's speaker.

    • If the unit had a better speaker I would give it 5 stars.
    • but I wanted something smaller, simple aesthetic, loud speaker, and the weather bands
    • The speaker went dead.
    • The speaker in the radio does not provide as much clarity as I would like.
    • This week the speaker in the handset died on me also.
    • I have to knock it though because the speaker is not great
    • I would recommend an amplified external speaker though
    • (Lost the speaker.)
    • The front speaker is great
    • I tried both Cobra's own recommended speaker and a random speaker from the Ham Radio Store
    • I think the internal speaker is loud enough but if I were to run with my top off I would invest in an external speaker.
    • The speaker, as others have stated, is severely lacking and could easily also be updated to current standards, but still can be heard when at full volume over road and engine noise
    • Works fine w/o an external speaker on the trails, an external speaker allows both occupants to easily hear at highway speeds.
    • Speaker has already lost some volume
    • No complaints on output audio and works well for receive (yes the speaker is low and an external brings it alive better) but for what it is and what I expected it meets all my needs.
    • first perfect in the din slot left by my radio, speaker could be a little louder but its not bad considering how noisey the vehicle is
    • The speaker is loud enough for me in a Jeep Liberty
    • The handheld speaker is easy to hear even when it's sitting in the center console.
    • The part i like best is the front speaker
    • I recommend looking for an external speaker or buy a CB with a better speaker
    • first perfect in the din slot left by my radio, speaker could be a little louder but its not bad considering how noisey the vehicle is
    • The Midland has a much better internal speaker and the output is at legal limits from the factory with punchy audio.
    • The repair center replaced the speaker in about a half hour and now everything works fine.
    • About the only bad points that I can see is that the unit itself is somewhat large and looks awkward on my dash, the speaker does not sound fantastic (but not too bad considering the size
    • Great radio, nice front speaker feature, compact size.
    • The only thing I found wrong with it was the speaker not being loud enough
    • Works as it should.
    • The speaker in the radio does not provide as much clarity as I would like.
    • I have a 1/2 ton Chevy Avalanche and mounted a 4 foot Firestik CB antenna behind the left, rear turn signal using a Firestik SS-204A antenna mount bracket, a Firestik K-1A Push-n-Twist antenna quick disconnect,
