I bought again another radio pack to replace an damage unit,I can say this radios are very good,the range into the city is around 1 to 2 miles,into the woods you can get up to 3 to 5 miles

I deducted one star for the difficulty of using the provided instructions to try to master this radio

The radios support both low power FRS and GMRS channels, as well as NOAA Weather channels

They are well made and seem to be water proof (or at least water resistant) and have some really nice features (weather radio, flashlight, etc)

These radios have a problem with clear communication from car to car if you use them for travel like we do

The reason is you need a FCC license to use the higher power GMRS mode this radio is capable of

But in that case go buy a short distance cheaper radio
