Overall fantastic value and piece of mind for under $200 and NO MONTHLY SERVICE FEE

It's a great value only thing that kept it from being 5 stars is the external siren power cord and the HUGE hole one must drill to pass the power cord and for God's sake if it's got to be a phono jack make it straight and add a 6 foot cord

However, I would recommend it as an excellent basic system and excellent value for the money.

Two sensors were missing from the kit, but the company shipped them out to me right away as soon as I contacted them (very good customer service).

The manual isn't very concise, but Fortress has really solid customer service

The system works as a good substitute for not getting the wired monthly fee systems...but I couldn't enter a long distant number as one of the numbers to call...even though I have long distance....

Surprisingly enough the outdoor motion detector is working great at picking up ONLY people.

The outside alarm could be a little louder, but I cannot complain.

On the plus side, it comes with a generous amount of sensors, the fobs work great, the alarm is crazy loud, and the system dials out perfectly when triggered.

The outside alarm is a little less loud, has a flashing light, and is wireless (needs to be plugged into an outlet) so it can be located anywhere, so I used this one inside

Was awesome knowing that if someone would have tried to enter my house they most likely would have been scared away by the crazy loud alarm, and that if they did stick around I would have been able to contact the neighbors to go and investigate.

Its a very good product for the price, and I feel much safer now that I have a good alarm system.
