Corsair SF Series, SF450, 450 Watt, SFX, 80+ Platinum Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply

    • I was having trouble with an old Antec EarthWatts that was a multiple-tap for the 12V rail locking up with a Geforce 7xx series video card.
    • The 12V rail has plenty of amps; many to all cheaper ones don't
    • The Corsair CX500 is useful for a wider variety of computer uses, as the single 12v rail providing 38A meets the minimum requirements of most of today's higher end video cards, while also having great efficiency for lower power 24/7 machines like video servers.
    • The Corsair on it's dedicated 12v rail delivers 38 amps.
    • Very nice amperage on the 12V rail and a quality power supply overall
    • The FSP Aurum is a 400 Watt power supply and supplies 18 Amps on a single 12v rail, but has two 12v rails for a combined 36 Amps.
    • the Corsair is a 500 Watt power supply and supplies 38 Amps on a single 12v rail.
    • Just be sure to check that this supplies enough power on the 12V rail and overall power to your GPU.
    • Despite being rated at 550 watts and having the proper connections as well as listing the proper wattages for each connector, it simply did not deliver enough current @ 12V rail to power my Radeon R9.I ended up putting in my media box to replace an aging power supply there and it worked fine for that, but if you're looking use this with any kind of GPU, I'd try something else.
    • The FSP Aurum has up to 36A, but it's split into two 12v rails, and not all video cards have two plugs for power.
    • And, my 12v rails are falling
    • The PCIE cables are completely separate all the way back to the 12V rail and fully sleeved.
    • When I installed power supply and switched on I noticed was the cpu fan speeding up and slowing down every second or 2
    • Works as it should, although the main motherboard power connector doesn't want to stay
    • Worked as i expected it
    • It works as it should and my mother's PC is working well once again.
    • it works as it should and deserves 5 stars.
