Corsair SF Series, SF450, 450 Watt, SFX, 80+ Platinum Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply

    • For whatever genius reason PSU companies(not just CORSAIR) will change there pin outs for their PSUs from generation to generation, so hooking the wrong cable into it can easily brick your gpu or ruin you mother board
    • Has nicely protected cables (not described in product info).Good price
    • The psu operates quietly and has strong cables
    • The cables come all bound in mesh, so when they are in the case they don't tangle up
    • The cables are a bit stubborn but manageable
    • is that the cables are really think and slightly hard to move, but it was still fine.
    • While my old power supply had modular SATA\PCI-E power supplement cords, the mainboard ATX connectors were hard-wired; This Corsair offering uses modular connectors for the mainboard as well, making routing, connecting, and keeping tidy the cables even better
    • works great, great cabling :)
    • These cables were very stiff and so
    • I love the black sleeved cables.
    • and I really like the modular cabling that helps eliminate unwanted cables and restricts air flow.
    • Cons:- Rather stiff cables, especially the 24-pin ATX
    • runs quite more then enough cables to hook all my things up and more
    • Enough cables and options for power
    • The cables were a little difficult to bend into place but they are manageable and can be done
    • The modular cables are not super soft, but they are flexible enough to route without having them fight with you.
    • However, the product itself otherwise works good, the modular cables help greatly with cable management and it runs quiet.
    • a few othersCons:-I feel like the cables are way too long,
    • but the cables that are included are very stiff and rigid and shorter than I'd like
    • hd6970msi970-g46fx-83208gigs ram2 wddvd/rwlove the sleek cables.. runs very quiet 38AMP on rail
    • Does what you expect of it (powers your rig), looks spiffy, modular design means less superfluous cables stuffed in odd nooks, and improved ease of installation in tight cases
    • The clean, modular cabling is a huge plus.
    • If building in the smaller SFF cases I would recommend you consider the Silverstone power supplies with the more flexible cables.
    • I had a small ITX case (Metis Plus) and needed longer, more flexible cables to make my computer presentable
    • The only complaint I have is that the CPU power cable is rather short and I can't route the cable from above the motherboard, resulting in some pretty sloppy cable management.
    • More then enough connector type cables to build the average system
    • Modular cables make cable management much easier.
    • The cables aren't super ugly
    • Modular cables are easy to install and have plenty of length for most cases
    • Love the black cables, makes the PC build look very clean.
    • It was a nice surprise that this PSU also came with screws and zip-ties for effective cable management
    • Only one negative, the cables are extremely stiff.
    • It is not modular but it has great black cables that look clean and nice.
    • Stiff cables, that are a bit short and tight in my SFF case.
    • In use the two sets of conductors stay cool and, thus, this unit draws less current from the wall than the CX500M which you should stay away from because the flimsy ribbon cables are not sufficient conductors.
    • The cables were plenty long without being to bulky
    • All cables are black-sleeved, and the fan it's really quiet
    • Another issue is the 4+4 cable doesn't separate and that the "manual" does not make that clear
    • top notch PSU however it may not have enough cables for fancy builds with Crossfire/SLI, fancy case lighting or a bunch of extra fans
    • and I really like the modular cabling that helps eliminate unwanted cables and restricts air flow.
    • I also dealt with a gs450, tx750, and ax850 and still not disappointed.pros-Long enough cables to have great cable management
    • Does the job, modular units make for easy cable management.
    • It came with enough zip ties to wrangle all the unneeded extra power cables that I don't quite need on my rudimentary gaming rig.
    • The cables are sturdy and of good length and the device came with extra cable ties and screws
    • Despite being non-modular i did some superb cable management with this psu
    • In therms of installation and setup, no problems at all, all the cables necessary are included in the box and this PSU being modular makes it pretty simple to just connect the cables you will be using in your system (everything is coded to match the connectors correctly)
    • The unit popped right into place, has awesome cabling, and fired up my computer without a hitch
    • But it was easy to swap with my other psu and there were more than enough cables for me
    • it is a good power supply and all the cables were nicely black sleeved.
    • These cables are very stiff and require a large about of work to get seated properly
    • Full-modular cabling is nice for quick assembly and leaving out any cables you don't need.
    • I over the ability to plug in ONLY the power cables I needed to for the equipment I had, and simply leave the unnecessary power cables in the box
    • Stays quiet, nice black cables, and comes with zip ties
    • I had to have my son do the final installation because the cables were a bit confusing and it did not come with instructions of any sort.
    • All cables came well and were all aligned with no entanglements.
    • it’s pretty quiet and cables are all black no ugly cables
    • The modular cables are great, easy to maneuver and very
    • I love the modular cables
    • Super quiet, good cable quality and haven’t been giving any issues for over 7 months now.
    • The modular cables make cable management easier in small cases, like the Silverstone SG06.
    • The sleeved cables make cable management much easier, and it fit great in my Cooler Master Storm Scout
    • Modular cables fit well and comes with enough reach for even most mATX cases
    • As it's not a fully/semi modular PSU the cables can be a bit bulky if you're using a small case
    • I have nothing to complain other than hard rigid cables
    • As a previous reviewer mentioned, the PSU seems great but the cables were awful
    • I tried to zip tie the cable to a few other cables to hold it in place(and in a very ugly fashion that upsets me because I bought a windowed case and wanted to avoid ugly cable management), and even that doesn't seem to work 100% of the time
    • The flat cables don't work for me as well as individual/sleeved
    • Then the cables suck.
    • Comes with clean black cables that make any build look good with
    • Works as it should, although the main motherboard power connector doesn't want to stay
    • Worked as i expected it
    • It works as it should and my mother's PC is working well once again.
    • it works as it should and deserves 5 stars.
