I've been using a simple, much less expensive mug warmer for about 3 years now, but it didn't reach the higher temperature that the COSORI warmer does, not did it work as well as the COSORI even though I had purchased a flat-bottomed mug to go with it.

They will keep your coffee hot but the mugs require a good thermal connection to the warmer as well as a cover to slow down heat loss if you don't drink quickly

dont know what kind of material and when the mug is hot it expels a very disagreeable smell from the chemical compund from the sleeve, this is very discomfortable because you cant enjoy your beverage thinking wheter that smell is carcirogen or not

The mug gets so hot because it's metal and you can't drink out of it

I followed the smell to the Cosori and thought "no way, not my beautiful mug

But use the right mug.

However, the stainless steel mug allows the coffee to get cool fast when it's not on the

but it works way better with the included stainless steel mug.

The only draw back to the stainless steel mug is the heat will transfer up to the rim if you fill it more than two thirds of the way up.
