To me that was as sign the product may just be hype, and no substance

This is a really great product, but it needs to be understood that, for all the marketing talk, this isn't going to compete with a more traditional separately-tuned component sound system (receiver, amp, multiple big speakers, etc).

I own a lot of Creative products and this one is just like the others I own Fantastic Sound Quality.

Based on various reviews and websites, I concluded that the best products for my description were the Bose sound link mini, UE Boom, or (for a little more) the Bose Soundlink III
