Creative Sound Blaster Roar 2 Portable NFC Bluetooth Speaker with aptX/AAC (Black)

    • Creative roar SUCKS
    • I went for it and ordered Creative Roar from Amazon on Wednesday
    • The bottom line is sound and performance, and the Roar is better than any other compact portable Bluetooth I've listened to, including the Soundlink Mini.
    • Anyways, movies sound phenomenal, the roar plays every sound, makes each one distinguishable, and sound great
    • The only relief when the Roar is silent is to disconnect the USB, re-connect the USB and hold the play button on the back until it beeps to make it a sound card again
    • One for a refurbed Big Jambox and two for the Creative Roar sale going on Amazon
    • The Roar is a more capable and more expensive.
    • The roar and tetra bass excellent
    • How do my beloved Bose and the Roar compare
    • Leave us a review!Help us to spread the word by writing a review! If you enjoy the Sound Blaster Roar, we would love to have you leave a review on Amazon to help other customers like yourself make an informed decision on their next speaker purchase
    • Happily, even at maximum volume, the TeraBass function never causes the Roar to sound strained or congested
    • My friends owns Sony SRS-X33, X11, Bose Soundlink mini, and I had chance to compare them with Sony SRS-X5, and Creative Roar 2
    • I was skeptical about just how much the Creative Sound Blaster Roar would improve my listening experience
    • Each of those were twice as expensive as the Roar and didn't sound half as good.
    • The Roar comes in second with excellent battery life as well.
    • Your location will likely dictate how you use this, but not that when on its side, there are no rubber feet as with it lying flat which may eventually scratch your Roar 2 or the surface you place
    • However this Creative sound blaster roar knocked it oug the park..
    • Creative roared into the marked place with this speaker
    • I really love my Soundblaster Roar
    • No regrets whatsoever, the most bang for the buck in the portable speaker space has to be Creative Roar period
    • charger1 Micro-USBWhat is this and what is it supposed to do?:The Sound Blaster Roar 2 is a more compact version of the popular Roar, a bluetooth speaker with multiple capabilities, some of which include wireless playing of audio via your bluetooth enabled device, ability to access some of the functions of your phone when connected via bluetooth including taking a call and even recording a call.
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar has a very warm and FULL sound
    • Highly recommend the Roar 2.
    • I bought the roar & loved it so much that I bought a 2nd one & two roars really sound good, just try it I think you will like it !!!
    • The roar was 50 dollars cheaper, has plenty of extras the bose doesn't offer and the sound is amazing.
    • The "Roar" is like a brick in size (2.2" X 7.9" X 4.5") and has a high-tech design of black and silver grills with easy to see and use buttons
    • If you buy the Creative Roar Pro without Square Trade you will be very disappointed and either forced to spend more to have Creative diagnose your problem or stuck with a paperweight.
    • Love the Roar and TeraBass features.
    • The Sound Blaster Roar 2 is my 4th bluetooth speaker - and trust me, I'm getting sick of these things piling up - but I have not been this impressed in quite awhile
    • /A nowIts unfortunate that I am the first person to post a negative review for Creative Roar
    • [Please read this review for full details and watch the updated video for an illustration of the various audio modes]REVIEW OF THE NEW "IMPROVED" ROAR SR20A:After having owned and listened to more portable Bluetooth speakers than I can count, it's hard to put a finger on what sounds "good" vs. what sounds "impressive"
    • I really enjoy the Sound Blaster Roar
    • This is simultaneously due to what the Sound Blaster Roar is, and paradoxically, what it is
    • I thought I would try something different......soooooo glad I did, the Roar out performs in every aspect
    • The portable Roar 2 arrived as promised and worked perfectly with reasonable sound
    • The portable Roar 2 arrived as promised and worked perfectly with reasonable sound
    • So I got the new Creative ROAR from a friend, and it’s been great
    • The new Sound Blaster Roar 2 is really kind of a mystery to me
    • I tested a similar speaker from Bose but feel the Creative Sound Blaster Roar has much more to offer for the price.
    • So far we really like our new Creative Sound Blaster Roar
    • The Bose Has a boomier base if you like that but the roar was a tad bit louder
    • So, after researching I found the Creative Roar
    • Tried with both Apple and Android phones, this creative device for no reason loses connectivity with the phone and songs break while playing and this happens even when the phone is lying next to the Creative Roar
    • Definitely recommend the Sound Blaster Roar for those looking for good sound for a good price!
    • I've enjoyed the "Roar" so much over the past few weeks that I've just invested in a second unit
    • So if we take this into account, powering the device on really requires at least two button presses (power ON button, and then the TERA BASS button once - or twice if you want the more expansive ROAR mode)
    • 6000 mAhSubwoofer driver: 1 x Active bass unit, 2 x side-firing radiatorsSatellites (per speaker): 2 x top-facing driversAmps: 1 stereo for high frequency and 1 for low/mid frequencyMY RATINGI love the Roar 2 for its sound, design, connectivity, ease of operation, the excellent MP3 random playback feature and the ability to fine-tune it through the PC/Mac application
    • The Roar read this beautifully, with exception to my first few files lost the correct order, but the rest were correctly ordered in the playlist.
    • After 4 months of light use the Roar will not turn on: DEAD
    • I've owned the Bose Soundlink mini and Soundlink 3; they may have a bit more bass, but if you want a more rich clear sound, sturdier build, faster Bluetooth connection, ton of features and in my opinion a better design you can't go wrong with the Creative Roar at this price
    • At first glance the Roar is attractive and feels good to the touch.
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar will not let you down.
    • It weighs about 2.5 pounds but there is a carrying pouch that wraps tightly around it so you don't have to remove it to enjoy sound/music (not included). The functions buttons are all on the top including, Power, Bluetooth/Call Answer/End, Volume Up/Down, and the powerful Roar mode
    • Okay so after searching through and through, I couldn't find a distinct comparison between the Creative Roar and a Jawbone Big Jambox
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is an OK speaker.
    • Creative Roar 2
    • For what it is, the versatility it offers in its class and price range, Sporting a bi-amplified design where one amp powers two active tweeters while the other amp powers one active woofer, as well as two passive radiators, the Roar is capable of 33 watts of balanced, room filling sound.
    • Ironic that Creative Labs sends me this message to recommend Roar to my friends when mine stopped working (wont power up) after one month of light use
    • I have a lower end Bluetooth speaker and comparing the sound really highlights how much better the Roar is
    • I bought the Bose Soundlink mini(did not sound as good as the Roar),
    • Creative Roar:Pros:- Clearer sounding mids and highs- SD card option to make the speaker a standalone player- Can be used as an external sound
    • Creative roar 2 works perfectly as advertised
    • Creative roar 2 works perfectly as advertised
    • I am enjoying my Sound Blaser Roar.
    • Did I say the Roar Pro is built like a brick house
    • The Roar gets plenty loud for me and the Terra
    • The new Sound Blaster Roar 2 is even more impressive
    • My old Klipsch 2.1 computer speakers BLOW the roar out of the water, but who wants to lug a 20lb woofer around?
    • (Note: Both the Roar and A33 are two big threats to Bose).
    • Creative roar SUCKS
    • The Creative Sound Roar wasn't as loud as i expected it to be
    • I would recommend the SB Roar to everyone.
    • Like the original Roar, the Roar 2 impressed me with its clarity and balance, its 'big', room-filling sound and, new to this one, it's ability to play both on its back for a 'room filling' performance or in a vertical position for a more directed sound
    • So if you want a product that is at a great price point, smokes it's (price point) competition, then the Roar 2 or Roar Pro is the one to get
    • If you like to take your music with you-you must have a Roar.
    • The Roar 2 is not inexpensive, but the performance, build quality and features make it an excellent value
    • Creative Roar:Sounds the same
    • I had a bad Roar shipped to me.
    • Additionally, whether my desktop computer falls asleep, or my laptop computer falls asleep, the USB sound card remains in Windows yet the Roar is completely silent
    • The Bose has excellent high-end response as well, but very neutral, a good thing actually but not as "clear" as the Roar
    • Spent a few hours for research on internet and made my choice - I have bought Roar again and do not regret.
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar knocks the competition out of the water
    • The Roar is just what the name promises: a very powerful speaker with a deep bass and the ability to really fill a large space (or a terrace) with great sound
    • The internal components while essentially the same power-wise, have upward firing tweeters and subwoofer so that you can now set the Roar 2 on its side or lay it flat
    • The updated ROAR2 is a wonderfully sounding Bluetooth speaker, pumping out high-end audio in a form factor 20% smaller than the Classic ROAR
    • While I can't comment on Bose, I can say that the Roar is totally satisfactory
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar needed to be a part of my life
    • I can promise you that the Creative Sound Blaster will win hands down the overwhelming majority vote over Best Buy's entire inventory of Bluetooth portable devices!I went through 4 best buy sales reps and 2 customers and they all said it was better then any of the products best buy had on display!Amazon has maintained it's integrity for searching out and providing us with the finest product choices in the world, and the Creative Sound Blaster Roar is right up there on the top!BUY
    • Putting audio quality on a scale from 0 to 10, I'd give bose a 10 while Creative Roar stays at a solid 9Not only the treble and bass are great, you can also increase the loudness via the ROAR button or increase the bass when listening low-level sounds
    • After that fairly impressive experience, I hooked the Creative ROAR up to my computer using it's own USB cable and configured it as an output device (sound card).
    • Love my Sound Blaster Roar; good sound fidelity, nice box and easy to set up and use
    • Even when both units were lying flat, the Roar 2 seemed to be slightly louder
    • If you want a unit to carry around in your purse or bag look at the Jambox mini if you don't mind somthing larger about half the size of a tissue box then get the roar and enjoy full spectrum sound
    • Thank you, Creative sound blaster roar for helping me gain respect on the gift giver scale
    • Creative Roar:-Mini USB charger is the same standard as my phone
    • These Creative Roar speakers are hands down the best BT speakers I've ever heard--clearly the top of the line
    • And two, the Roar is just more versatile.[Added a week later] - wanted to share a cool use of the Link Security feature
    • The ROAR is also capable of higher over all output which is useful in larger rooms or for outdoor useBoth speakers are great choices but when you consider the similar overall sound quality of the ROAR, the lower price, and the many extra features missing from the BOSE, the Creative soundblaster is the better buy in my opinion.
    • I love my Roar!
    • Looks = Creative Sound Blaster Roar looks a little nicer with speaker grill all around the top, front and both of the side, the side have Chrome edge are very cool looking.6
    • I was in the market for a bluetooth speaker and narrowed it down to the Creative Sound Blaster Roar and the one from Bose.
    • If you're in the market for a LOUD, clear and thumping speaker, I recommend the Creative Sound Blaster Roar!
    • She hopes the Roar will provide a little sparkle to an otherwise
    • (just like the original ROAR) is one of the only portable speakers that uses TWO SEPARATE AMPLIFIERS
    • The Roar shines at normal to high volume (not max volume) and sounds better when it is further from me (say 1 m)
    • Forget what you may think you know about portable one-piece wireless speaker systems, the Creative Sound Blaster Roar represents a sea change in what will now be expected of products in its class
    • The Roar 2 ( as well as the original Roar) can be connected to your PC or Mac via USB and used as a USB sound output
    • If high quality sound is what you want, The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is for you
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar will not shake the room with paint blistering loudness, but that is not why I made this purchase
    • I love, love, love the Sound blaster Roar
    • However, the Sound Blaster Roar, has really nice sound at low volumes and high volumes.
    • but I didn't catch much improvement with TeraBass, though ROAR did make it noticeably louder but without loss of fidelity
    • Anyway I wanted to avoid this problem from happening again and this Creative Sound Blaster Roar will never have this problem.
    • I would recommend purchasing the carry bag for the device, I had already ordered the Roar prior to knowing it was available.
    • But, if you're looking for a party machine, then go with Creative Roar.
    • After testing over and over (annoying my wife in the process) I have decided to go with the Creative Roar because this smaller form factor can bang
    • It is difficult to compare the Sound Blaster Roar to other portable speakers because it is a big step up in audio quality and features from anything I have seen in its price range, making it an excellent choice for daily use as a primary personal speaker, especially where space is limited, as well as for portable use.
    • Let me start off by saying I absolutely love the Soundblaster Roar, as I have the Roar A model
    • Again at $149 the Roar is just hard to beat as far as value especially given the feature set
    • The buttons for the two sound enhancements, the ROAR and the TERA BASS are in two different places, and there is only a voice notification when you activate the Tera Bass button and not the Roar (very odd)
    • I would recommend the ROAR to everyone
    • I really like the Roar except for that issue
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is aptly named.
    • I've had sampled/owned nearly a dozen, a literal dozen, portable speakers this past year seaking the perfect model for my needs, and the Creative Sound Blaster Roar is among the top tier of them
    • The Roar is always ready!
    • When I started looking into blue-tooth speakers and came across Creative Roar, I was pretty sure that I will get my money's worth
    • This Bluetooth speaker blows the Roar away.
    • The creative sound blaster Roar excepts a microSD card so my phone can be freed up
    • I've had my Sound Blaster Roar for three weeks and am enjoying it more every day
    • love the sound blaster roar...it just roars...simply love the speaker...
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is easily one of the best of the bunch
    • I have tested the following units aside from this Creative SB Roar
    • I would like to recommend the Creative Roar at this price
    • After spending a considerable amount of time comparing speakers these are my subjective findings:While both the ROAR and Mini are capable of delivering deep bass, the ROAR's bass is clearer and more defined without drowning out mid range details
    • meeting leaders will like the Roar as a portable and very loud device to amplify the output of video/data projectors
    • But the Roar and the Soundlink Mini both suffer a lot when not aimed directly at the listener
    • Comparing the two, you can really notice just how clear and finely tuned the Roar is
    • Creative Roar:Sounded well balanced and clear vocals
    • The Roar is great except that when the battery dies, the unit is dead
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is a great portable Bluetooth wireless speaker
    • Creative Roar
    • The Sound Blaster Roar has been great, and the Sound Blaster Roar 2 carry's on that tradition in a compact size, that looks great and really pumps out the sound.[Review Sample Provided For Review And Evaluation]
    • and I highly recommend the Roar, especially a pair of them!
    • This is my review of the Creative Roar Pro after listening to these bad boys for about a week__________DESIGN: The design of the Pro is actually very reminiscent to the Roar 1 and 2
    • However, since I acquired the second Roar, I noticed my first Roar make a funny chirping noise sometimes when I restart the computer where the second Roar was connected to.
    • With the great design, the abundance of features and capabilities and the impressive (though not overwhelming) sound quality, the ROAR it is an outstanding addition to any audio nut's equipment collection.
    • Aesthetically speaking, it is with good reason that the Roar won the 2014 Red Dot award for design in its class.
    • x11.For funk music like James Brown, Creative Roar 2
    • and I highly recommend the Roar to anyone looking for a portable bluetooth speaker.
    • And the Roar is the pinnacle I will try to explain
    • There's the awesome ROAR button that basically boosts sound levels and gives you a louder experience
    • Creative don't offer the Roar in HK, although it is available for around $200 as a parallel import
    • The Roar 2 retains those two benefits and adds one more: a smaller footprint
    • You can lay the ‘Roar 2’ on the bottom or its side to direct the sound in any direction wanted.
    • The new Roar arrived the very next day as promised along with the accessories
    • Overall I love the Roar

    • Creative Roar 2 give balanced all High, Mid, and Low
    • Features galore!MicroSD card slot to RECORD music that's being played on the Creative Roar via Pandora or other sites
    • I cannot stress more the value one receives with the Creative Sound Blaster Roar portable for its sound, features and quality.
    • The Roar is feature rich...so much so that I wont probably ever use half of them...but there is something to be said for knowing that I can if I want to
    • I cannot begin to explain how convenient and fun the Creative Sound Blaster Roar is
    • , therefore the Roar is useless for Web Meetings/ Skype/etc
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is nothing short of incredible!
    • The Creative Sound Blaster Roar is a sleek, good looking speaker that puts out great sound and has many useful features
    • The Roar breaks from the mold in terms of its overall design in that it is intended to lay flat like a cigar box
    • I have had the Creative SB Roar now for about 2 weeks.
    • I have followed the evolution of compact portable speakers and the roar is by far the best yet
    • As my wife currently owns the original Roar (and she loves it by the way) it came as a surprise to us that Creative was re-visiting the model, seeing as the original Roar was already so successful and well received
    • We love our Creative Sound Blaster Roar!

    • mini > Creative Roar 2 > srs-x33 > srs-x11.For pop music, Creative Roar 2
    • 5/15/15 - Still loving the Roar
    • Anyways, movies sound phenomenal, the roar plays every sound, makes each one distinguishable, and sound great
    • The ROAR blows them all away by a long shot
    • Before deciding for the Creative Roar box I did my homework: I searched all the way from those cheap 30 bucks speakers (where you don't have treble or bass - just mid range frequencies) to the most expensive Bose ones
    • Bose Soundlink mini > srs-x11.For classic music, Creative Roar 2
    • I would even venture that the Mini bests this unit in bass response; although it may not get quite as loud, the bass in the SoundBlaster Roar simply doesn't project
    • I then found the Creative Roar 2 but decided on the Roar Pro for the added features
    • The original Roar required the speaker to be lying flat as the only viable position since the two 1.5" high frequency drivers faced forward while the 2.5" bass/midrange speaker was facing upwards
    • Will recommend the Roar to all my friends.
    • Sony SRSX5Pros: Good highs, mids and lows, pretty good bass comparable with the Creative Roar

    • After all my research it came down to the: Creative Roar, UE Boom, Bose Soundlink Mini, Sony SRSX5
    • Perhaps the Roar is louder.
    • so got it repaired myself, before that it worked as it should though there is noticeable battery life drop after 9 months
    • I am surprised that it can be as loud and full of bass as it is
    • This truly stunned me as it ruined a single operation plug and play USB connection to mimic a similar concept of using a dock for a laptop with quick connect and disconnect
    • Prob worth buying a 2nd as
    • Sound QualityLet's begin with the caveat that despite its heft, the Roar is still a small, bluetooth speaker, and as great as the sound quality is, it ultimately won't compare to a true wired component system.
    • It is difficult to compare the Sound Blaster Roar to other portable speakers because it is a big step up in audio quality and features from anything I have seen in its price range, making it an excellent choice for daily use as a primary personal speaker, especially where space is limited, as well as for portable use.
    • This speaker has plenty of features such a NFC compatibility to connect your device, ability to charge your phone/music player from the speaker, ability to hook up directly to your computer through USB, ability to charge through both the supplied A/C adapter and USB, as well as being able to use it as a hands-free device for your smartphone
    • It’s rectangular with white plastic housing, a white metal grille, and grey accenting at the front control panel as well as on each side where the subwoofers are located.
    • Like I said before it fits my purpose for easy listening as well as for a small indoor and outdoor party.
    • Sounds wonderful, still has that bluetooth feel, but otherwise as good as it gets.
    • I inserted a Micro SD card with mp3s and my songs were as clean as
