The temperature knob is very approximate - but again I can't complain for the price we paid, it toasts bread OK (even if slightly unevenly).

It does toast well but one needs to experiment for which setting is best for which bread as some breads are denser than others.

Bagel setting burns bread even when not on highest temperature setting.
