The first one ran great, the coffee tasted great, and and we were diligent in cleaning the machine, including the running of a water/vinegar mixture through the coffee maker on a regular basis to keep it clean internally

I have had cheaper machines that lasted much longer than this one.

I promise you, it deserves no more than the two and would recommend this machine to no one

I would not recommend purchasing this machine unless you enjoying hitting things early in the morning.

The brew is richer, the machine is much quieter and it is more intuitive to program

A thermal carafe may not fit the bill for everyone, but if you need a pot of coffee to stay hot for several hours without eventually tasting burnt, I highly recommend this machine.

We bought this machine after suffering with a Kitchen Aid Machine that kept quitting 10 months into use

Pros: the carafe hold 14 6 oz cups & doesn't drip when pouring, brews a hotter cup of coffee than less expensive machines, has buttons for brewing only 1-4 cups and for bold which work as intended

Shipping costs alone would be over half the price I paid for the original, which was not a satisfactory result since there are no guarantees a new machine won't have the same problems in 6 months.

I do not usually write such glowing reports, but this machine really has made both of us very happy

much better than other makers designs where the water is dripped onto a water filter where it may or may not actually pass through it before going into your coffee.another plus is the machine is pretty much steam free so you can put it anywhere, and the carafe is sealed besides the opening where you pour it out

I only rate it 4 out of 5 stars because it doesn't wow me, but it is a very good machine and I am happy with it early in my ownership.

However, again, it's still a sharp looking coffee machine

I cleaned the machine several times as instructed by the manufacturer with no success.

I clean the machine with the same vinegar/water solution and change the charcoal filter about every 6 months and there's no issues with build up or it not working right

This machine not only keeps coffee hotter, tastes better..just an all round better manufactured machine..my own personal view.

What seems to happen is the machine is leaking and the vent cover on the bottom of the unit is rusting

I wish the stainless felt more substantial and that the black stainless was as dark as in the photo - I feel I paid extra for something that isn't what it is advertised to be

After each fill, it is necessary to wipe up the spilled water from the side of the unit, as well as from the counter top

Bottom line, you will be very satisfied with your first cup of coffee regarding the coffee flavor and temp, as well as the tight footprint of this maker on your counter top!
