A couple of awkward design features: compartment to pour water into is narrow and doesn’t easily allow you to completely empty the water in the carafe and the top of the carafe snaps on and off, rather than being on a hinge.

In other words, the auto-off feature doesn't work, the bold feature doesn't work, the cup selector doesn't work - none of the features work if the pot is brewing or left on

Good coffee maker, just wish the hot plate would stay on longer

I had to order the one I had with a hot plate to keep coffee hot.

Coffee is not consistently but the hot plate is rusty already.

Coffee is hot when it comes out and the warming plate keeps it that way

Six months and the warming plate died, after modest once-a-day usage

Then over the next 6 months I had to deal with a burnt plastic taste from my coffee

Makes a great tasting coffee and keeps the coffee hot up to 4 hours.

Most importantly though – it makes great tasting coffee

I normally use spring water to make my coffee as I very much dislike the taste and content of tap

I love the thermal carafe, I love the taste of the coffee

Super cheap glass carafe comes with this coffee make and not easy to find a replacement.

The thermal carafe itself has a serious design flaw that makes it impossible to pour water or coffee out of it without at least seriously dripping, and most often splattering liquid outside of the target container.

The coffee tastes great, the carafe keeps the coffee hot, the programming is wonderful

After many days the replacement has arrived with instructions to return the defective product, presumably shipping at our cost in addition to the other ten dollars

This is actually a very efficient product makes a good cup of coffee according to my parents who love coffee

We called amazon and told them we wanted to return our defective product.

Product delivers everything promised and it makes a good cup of coffee

but you need to add additional coffee to compensate or your brew will be weak even if you use the bold setting

My old coffee maker was a 10 cup and I have found that I can use the same amount of beans with 12 cups and the bold setting for a little stronger brew.

The water filter option is a nice plus, and the "bold" brew setting seems to slow the brewing a bit to give steamy water more time to absorb coffee favor while brewing

It would make a loud clicking noise while brewing and would only brew half a pot when we would put a whole pot of water in to be brewed, leaving the water compartment half filled

However... filling the water tank is very cumbersome, and when filling, the carafe leaks every time

That's one bright LED light!You can turn off the tone (5 loud beeps when the coffee is done) if you don't care for the beep noise

I can't seem to fix the LOUD beep or the grumbling and spluttering

The only criticism I have is a minor design flaw with the lid to the carafe and the small reservoir opening.

The most aggravating problem was that the handles kept popping off of the hot coffee pots - we went through 3 of those in 8 years and it was just sheer luck that nobody got burned

Their coffee maker get rusted in a year and their customer service simply ignores the problem

the first one lasted just under 2 years and the the the clock stopped working Same problem with the second but in less than a year

I bought this coffee maker because it supposedly had corrected problems that I had with previous models of this coffee maker

I have not had any problems with the warming plate flaking off.

Even with a mesh filter, we still need a paper one as the openings are not fine enough to keep out coffee grinds

However lately we have began to have a problem with coffee grinds flowing over the filter and all of the water remaining in the filter.

For a couple months now, the coffee maker makes an incredibly loud "clunking" sound as it brews

I know that sounds silly, but when being used to having to pour with your right hand and trying to see the cup measurements, it so much easier.

Set it up the night before and wake up to the smell of coffee, or it's loud beeping sound that it makes when it's out of water

I informed the manufacturer and they sent a new one (but I had to pay a significant shipping and service fee), but the new one makes the same loud sound

Hit the power button to use a manual "on" and it made half a pot, started making strange noises and began leaking water all over the counter.

Only downside is it does make a few weird loud noises once in awhile.

Even a cheap $20 Mr. Coffee lasts longer than this did.

This thing works well and makes better coffee than the less expensive Mr. Coffee and the Black & Decker machines that I have used.

I just ordered a less expensive Mr. Coffee to replace this one.

My daughter loves her Mr. Coffee machine.

So we are returning it and probably going to buy a cheap Mr. Coffee brewer.
