Look, you need surge protection anyway

The surge protection did not work at all.

Six weeks after ordering this unit, my power blinked and shorted out a computer that was plugged into the surge protection side.

I use them for my computers and TV sets for both surge protection and the effects of utility breaker trips and reclose which results in pulses of power off on off which are hard on switching power supplies.
