It starts beeping rather loudly when the power fails and gives you plenty of time to save your work and go through a normal shutdown

All seemed well, for about 15 minutes, aside from the annoying beep it makes when there is no AC power hitting it

Periodically it will cut the power and this awful beep comes on.

The power had gone out at some point during the day, and then, for the rest of the day, the cats and neighbors had to hear the long continuous useless beep of the CyberPower 550VA.

You just push the on/off button twice quickly and it turns the annoying beeps off.

However, unlike the previous APC unit, this one barely lasted 2 years, died with a loud beep in the middle of the night, won't reset or turn on at all
