A compact UPS with standby topology, the CyberPower 8-Outlet Standby UPS System provides battery backup using simulated sine wave output and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices and home entertainment ...
Works as expected...been using to protect our Point of Sale (POS) system.
Works as expected, and while you can make an argument that these non-online or smaller units don't provide solidly clean power from the battery (instead of the regular electricity that comes into your home or apartment that is spikey and 'dirty', which can damage computer components just from regular use
I was pleased with the compact size and the features of this unit.
Nice compact size, this is perfect for a workstation UPS.
Small size is perfect and the design/layout is what I wanted
If you don't get the most expensive, largest size, then you're effectively buying a surge protector that weighs a ton and takes up tons of space and only has four slots
Perfect size & function for my PC & Monitor at an affordable price
After 4 months, exactly when run out of warranty - Same thing! No power out of the battery backup outlets (NEW battery, though!).So, BAD QUALITY!My other (different model
So it's not even a power surge that killed it - as far as we can tell it's just the power on/off button that is broken or the battery that won't re-charge.
This is the second one that I bought!! very good quality!
I don't really think it would hurt the unit, but this one has an audible alarm that sounds if it is being overdrawn, as well as when it is operating from battery power
I have experienced one power outage since having this, the system worked (as it should) flawlessly, safely shutting down my computer, modem, and monitor.
These are great friends during storm season since if the power does not return you have time to shut down your important work and your computer, or if you have an autostart generator, your ups will keep things going until the generator kicks in (they take 5-10 seconds to warm up and
I'm unclear of how I will do that, but it does work great.
It has been working great to keep the tv from rebooting.
Lost my work and co wants me to pay for return shipping on their crappy product
It's mostly been working OK, but the original battery died.
I was using this unit to power a small Mac Mini I was using as a server, as well as some networking equipment
Great affordable choice to big costly lost information and damaged equipment.
Stay away from this unit and stay away from dishonest companies purposefully making useless equipment.
I have seen 225 KVA UPS systems (a few orders of magnitude larger than this unit) offer $10MM (million) warranties that have never found their equipment to be the fault of the problem
If you have a fair amount of computer or entertainment equipment and occasionally have power bumps this will protect both the equipment and your data.

Apparently returns of this item are not accepted by Amazon because of "hazardous materials"
This is one of those products that performs so well, you even forget it's there, working as it should.
Works as it should, keeps my network running when the power goes out which keeps all of my home automation devices happy.
Other wise it has done its job for those 6 years, making total appliance cost per year about $10
Junk, bought 2 of these they lasted about 2 years and both died, went back to APC for about the same price
I have experienced one power outage since having this, the system worked (as it should) flawlessly, safely shutting down my computer, modem, and monitor.
Just replace the whole unit every three years, since the components inside will degrade over time anyway, and take the old unit to an electronics recycling center.
The worst thing is that it will fail on you for no reason.
I bought this thing because every now and the power in my house will flicker, causing my computer to turn off and on quickly, which can be bad, especially if I'm in the middle of some work.
It started doing the loud beeping thing (which by the way, it didn't even keep my computer on like it was supposed to, for even a second
I was using this to keep our VOIP box and cable modem up during power outages and the whole thing died, not just the battery protection
I have an APC UPS for my other equipment and weaned to try this CyberPower model that I head read good things about
I don't really think it would hurt the unit, but this one has an audible alarm that sounds if it is being overdrawn, as well as when it is operating from battery power
It will do this 3 times in a row before opening for good causing a power failure
A audible warning for power failure, battery overload and low battery.
Prevent my NAS Storage system from power failure problems.
Works as it should, keeps my network running when the power goes out which keeps all of my home automation devices happy.
Only disadvantage is the power rating at 255 watts, which apparently I am maxing out with four devices into the battery side because I'm getting loud audible error beeps when it overloads the battery
Periodically it will cut the power and this awful beep comes on.
The beep is only useful if the UPS is protecting me and I need to save and shutdown.
You can turn off the beep and it's really compact relative to other UPS.
Everything was working properly until we heard a faint beeping sound.....low and behold, it was an alarm because there was too much power running thru and it was overloaded
Days after this arrived, we had an extended power outage due to some strong storms.
Living in the midwest with severe storms often during the summer and winter storms during the winter, it will pay for itself many times over.
Now recently we had a storm pass through and knock the power out several times and every time this immediately clicked on and kept the heater and thermostat running.
Couple of days ago, a storm was raging while I was trying to do usual work on CPU; household power blinked several times, but my CPU components were plugged into this device, and nothing shut down.
We had a really bad electrical storm, and power dimmed a few times before going out
If you have external hard drive that constantly runs you need one of these to make sure your HD doesn`t break when power goes out while it`s operating.
I use it only to protect my NAS drive which draws miniscule.
I have my PC, the Monitor, the printer and one of my external hard drives hooked up to the powered outlets
There is enough space between the outlets that you actually can hook up all those units with their sometimes bulky plug-ins (especially some external hard drives which use power converters).I also like the compact and lightweight design, because space is at a premium in my home office
I have a desktop with a printer, scanner and several external hard drives.
This UPS has eight outlets and is an outstanding investment to preserve your computer or high-tech equipment from unforeseen power outages or power bumps
Got this to power our Direct TV receiver when we get those nagging power bumps or we loose power
Not at all happy! It worked fine for little over a year, saved us from a number of short power bumps, which is exactly why I bought it
If you have a fair amount of computer or entertainment equipment and occasionally have power bumps this will protect both the equipment and your data.
