This thing's alarm can't be silenced

The frustrating thing is, I have had just a normal surge strip on my PC for years, and other than the fact that Windows quits abruptly, I've never had an issue

And unless you have an electrical engineering degree, schematics, and a *ton* of experience with working around Sealed Lead Acid batteries, don't even *think* about trying to open this thing up to disable the speaker, it's really quite dangerous inside this box.

I live in a rural-area, that has occasional power "dinks" of anywhere from a split-second, or a few-minutes, and this thing has saved me so-many headaches, from lost or corrupt-files during a download

I bought this thing because every now and the power in my house will flicker, causing my computer to turn off and on quickly, which can be bad, especially if I'm in the middle of some work.

I just replaced a couple of the kind where you couldn't permanently disable the alarm, and so every time there was a power outage, even in the middle of the night, I had these damn things beeping all over the house (my computer, my wife's computer, TV, etc.)
