This is the worst thing that I have ever bought from Amazon.

This thing is absolute worthless

The worst thing is that it will fail on you for no reason.

This thing's alarm can't be silenced

And unless you have an electrical engineering degree, schematics, and a *ton* of experience with working around Sealed Lead Acid batteries, don't even *think* about trying to open this thing up to disable the speaker, it's really quite dangerous inside this box.

I was using this to keep our VOIP box and cable modem up during power outages and the whole thing died, not just the battery protection

With ONLY those two items plugged in, we're on pins and needles as to WHEN this dumb thing is going to overload itself and start its continuous beep (which won't shut off until you reset it, which means you have to shut

It's a small price to pay for the insurance these things offer against losing your work when the power fails or worse yet a sudden power failure without time to shut it

I bought this thing because every now and the power in my house will flicker, causing my computer to turn off and on quickly, which can be bad, especially if I'm in the middle of some work.
