Set up was basically charging the unit for at least twelve hours, then plugging the items needing power during outages into the correct outlets, and others elsewhere

it does have more available outlets than comparable APC brand products, but like the other brands, not all of them are power backup (1/2 are).

ECO outlets were especially useful to me

And yes I tested my outlet with another power supply it works fine

loved having the extra outlets

The UPS senses the computer being turned off via the USB connection, and cuts power to some of the surge-only outlets as well as the battery outlets

Not everything on my system has the protect from surges and everything needed to be able to shut down my system when the power goes out has the proper outlets to work from.

I would prefer more outlets, and for them to forgo the eco stuff, honestly.

The ECO outlets are useless

My bigger issue with it is that the outlets aren't spaced very well, and the eco outlets can be a problem
