The CyberPower Ecologic Series EC350G uninterruptible power supply (UPS) safeguards PCs and other electronics (monitors, modems, and VoIP routers) from blackouts, brownouts, surges, spikes, sags, and other power abnormalities. Advanced ...
After the install of two of these, all the problems cleared up.
Unit is great for small units, but not for bearded dragon tanks :-p
The USB controlled ECO plugs also fail to operate normally after a while, but I am not sure whether this is an EC350G problem or Win-10.
However, the greater problem is Amazon's inability to accept returns because of damage during shipping if they consider the item, a UPS in this case, "hazardous material."I rate the unit itself "ok" (until I can actually test it in use) since it seems to have good features for the price
I like the display- as it tells me what I need to know such as % of charge, time remaining
I love this UPS it has a great display on the unit and a usb interface
The only problem is reading the display - you must view it at a direct angle - awkward if it's in an out-of-the-way position on the floor or under a desk.
I can tell how long the battery will last during a power outage by looking at the LED display built into the UPS itself.
This one is really special because it has a led display for information and more protected plugs than most.
it does have more available outlets than comparable APC brand products, but like the other brands, not all of them are power backup (1/2 are).
I would prefer more outlets, and for them to forgo the eco stuff, honestly.
Not everything on my system has the protect from surges and everything needed to be able to shut down my system when the power goes out has the proper outlets to work from.
The ECO outlets are useless
Set up was basically charging the unit for at least twelve hours, then plugging the items needing power during outages into the correct outlets, and others elsewhere
So yes, it will protect you from losing your work in the event of a power outage.
I aborted the 4th opening and turned the breaker back on so as not to drain the battery too deeply, but yes, this works and is a much cheaper alternative than replacing the entire GDO unit for $350 + installation or to add a garage door branded battery backup for $150 if it was even compatible.
The software works great on windows, but is a little harder to configure on linux
This backup works great, isn't too big comparatively, and has 6 powered outlets.
Bought it for a friend, to replace one that was beeping at her, and it's working great so far
Loud alarm alerted me to shut down before the battery would have stopped and computer would have "crashed" closed.
great product with plenty of outlets that are well spaced, and it works as
It took a few minutes to figure out how to turn off the (very loud) alarm every 30 seconds, but then it lasted almost an hour and a half under normal use
I had been working the entire day on a project when suddenly I heard a loud alarm tone coming from the computer
I just need to disable the alarm then we would be good to go!
CyberPower and the more expensive APC are the best brands out there right now.
great product with plenty of outlets that are well spaced, and it works as
However to be fair, I am replacing my 2nd small cheap APC 350 unit that had a replaceable battery and died despite the battery still working.this one sits in a closet providing power for a small switch and 3 wireless AP power injectors.
Works great and the little LCD is an added bonus over similar APC systems that lack it.
Works as it should, only need this for a few minutes for brown outs and power blinks
Many UPS devices don't work well with non-computer, low-power draw devices (such as small electronic controllers that won't tolerate power interruption more than a few milliseconds) which is what I need a UPS for
Unit is great for small units, but not for bearded dragon tanks :-p
The point is that year after year of power interruptions caused by weather or construction in the neighborhood, these units (when set up as suggested) will protect your electronics and even power down the ones not currently being used, hence the ECO part in the name.
We use these to ovoid the annoyance of short power interruptions and restarting everything.
Nice backup power for areas that have regular power interruptions.
this excellent unit resolves that and many more issues like still watching the tv when the power flickers or goes out momentarily.
so Ican continue a gaming session in case of the previously often power flickers which may only last less thana second but turn everything off and have to wait for a minute for the internet connection to come back on
Unit is great for small units, but not for bearded dragon tanks :-p
the very first power flicker and all systems turned off
If you're like me, you want to keep your stuff up and running through power flickers and short outages
I picked this model as opposed to some of the others listed because the lights on it are smaller (I use this for my laptop, cell phone, etc, charging in my bedroom), and because the plug holes were set wider which makes it easier to utlize them all.
You have to take the unit apart and CyberPower also does not publish any information on what model number battery it takes.
I would suggest going with a different model, this model is obviously flawed
Like it was said in other comments, it would be nice to have more ways of monitoring electricity like in more expensive models, but I guess that's how the higher priced one's sell.
You need to buy one of their Pure Sine Wave models
Just bought my third of these in order to keep the cable system at home going during power loss storms
Unit is great for small units, but not for bearded dragon tanks :-p
We do not plan to use these to continue working in the event of a power loss.
There was no power loss at the property or storms in the area.
There had been no power loss or surges, I had followed all of the instructions provided provided with the device, including to make sure it charged for 8 hours before use
