I aborted the 4th opening and turned the breaker back on so as not to drain the battery too deeply, but yes, this works and is a much cheaper alternative than replacing the entire GDO unit for $350 + installation or to add a garage door branded battery backup for $150 if it was even compatible.

We have experienced brown and black outs on the power in our subdivision for years, This battery back up for our computer has worked very well, especially the software feature that it comes with, once connected to your computer via a USB cable and after installing the software the product will alert you if you lose power, or you can look at a report/view of how many times you have lost power if you are away.

Fortunately Amazon refunded my money, but this UPS never, ever worked.
