CyberPower EC350G Ecologic UPS System, 350VA/255W, 8 Outlets, ECO Mode, Compact

    • it's like an overpriced power strip that *might* have surge protection.
    • I use APC 1300 and 1500s but most UPSs use electronic surge protection with auto-reset.
    • one!The only con is that it does not have coaxial surge protection
    • The second unit (for two computers and two monitors) couldn't handle two computers, so we had to plug one of them into a surge protection only socket (defeating the purpose of buying the UPS in the first place) and we kept having to endure frequent spontaneous shut downs, not to mention the unit kept warning the battery has less than five minutes remaining and we should remove one of the items from it (there were only a monitor and a computer using the battery sockets at this point).
    • The other side of the outlets (surge protection only) continues to provide power but not the battery backup side
    • Does what an UPS is supposed to do, including the surge protection feature.
    • The box says this provides guaranteed surge protection caused by lightning and power surges--but if you read the documents inside the box very carefully buried deep in the exclusions for damage caused to connected equipment it says that this product is certified to only protect devices from power spikes that last no longer than 1ms.
    • Didn't matter if it was a PC & monitor or light & speaker; battery backup side or surge protection only side.
    • also provides surge protection for the unknown spikes we experience daily.
    • The system stays up during these outages thanks to 650 watt battery backup and are protected with the surge protection
