D’Addario EXL110-3D XL Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, Regular Light Gauge – Round Wound with Nickel-Plated Steel for Long Lasting Distinctive Bright Tone and Excellent Intonation–10-46, 3 Sets

    • I've always liked 9-42 strings as my favorite gauge, but these 9-46 'hybrid' strings are my new favorite
    • This specific gauge can be difficult to find.
    • i prefer a slightly heavier gauge, but these are ok for now...
    • But for me, I enjoy standard tunings lower than E. I often play in C standard thru D standard tunings, and the thicker gauge of the LOW strings allows stronger tension at the lower pitch which reduces buzz and the "floppiness" associated with down-tuned strings - even with the lower tunings I use
    • Perfect gauge for my aggressive picking style on the low strings (I play mostly rock and metal).
    • Just about the perfect sting gauge set for this noob
    • I mostly use the medium gauge on my electrics but I have also tried the light gauge and also love them
    • I've been playing with D'addarios for years, and I've just discovered my new favorite gauge
    • Yes, I like the feel of these and will definitely grab these before getting the normal 11's if I'm getting a single pack because I like the individual gauges that come with this set
    • Great heavy-gauge strings
    • If you have a good setup, the heavier gauge is no harder to play in my opinion
    • Looked to up the gauge on my Ibanez RGD 2127FX, but for some reason my guitar did not like the lowest 59 gauge string
    • For me, this is simply the best string gauge out there, and D'Addarios always feel so much smoother than the competition.
    • -Heavy Gauge-Very clear sound, it livened up my Les Paul, planning on buying more for my Telecaster
    • A nice light gauge string though is an entirely other matter
    • Nice sound and very heavy gauge, love em!
    • Very well rounded string and gauge
    • I just spent about 4 months dorking around with strings, trying to find the right gauge.
    • This certain gauge (11-49) might be tough to bend for beginners
    • My new favorite 10 gauge strings
    • Good quality strings and the 10.5 gauge is perfect for down tuning a half step
    • I like to use fingers sometimes and the gauge of the 1-3 strings allow for smooth picking, due to the coating I guess
    • Let's me really bang on the bottoms without having to tune down to optimize playability, which means no buzz with heavy attack, but also gives me a light enough gauge on top to be able to get a little flashy when I want to show off
    • Durable, perfect gauges within the set, low relative cost and SOUNDS GREAT!!!
    • I never imagined downtuned strings and when I first did it, I was just using improper gauge and hated the way my guitar played.
    • Great intermediate string gauge set.
    • I like the heavier gauge for my guitars.
    • Perfect gauge for Les Paul if you want to do any moderate drop-tuning.
    • Love the gauges from top to bottom
    • These EXL-140s are my new favorite gauge ..
    • My only complaint is that the .074 low string is just not the right gauge for anything other than F# standard tuning
    • Love these gauge of strings good buy for this three pack compared to buying in local music shop
    • I generally prefer 10-52 gauge for my Gibson scale length guitars, but if standard 10s are your thing, you can't really go wrong with these strings.
    • These are some very nice light gauge strings that perform well and hold up to practice sessions that usually last anywhere from one to three hours a night
    • I like a light string gauge as I have some hand and finger problems from a lifetime of hard work.
    • Check out the 10s as well if you like a thicker gauge.
    • I love this particular gauge
    • When I was in a hardcore metal band that was tuned to Drop A I would use elixir baritones (Very awesome strings, 70 gauge) and had to file the nut down to fit them in, but when I went back to standard/drop
    • The 11-49 gauge is quite chunky, but I knew what I was getting into, because I played Power Slinkys which were 11-48
    • Wound G
    • The wound G can rarely unravel at the dent spot
    • These strings with the WOUND G work really well on my short scale guitars
    • and I implore you, if you have been plagued by sour g strings, you must try these
    • Ever have a bad G that sounds dead, even when you change the strings
    • I really like the wound third especially on Les Pauls, really helps with the infamous G string de-tune issue a lot of LPs have.
    • Great strings for that infamous G string falling out of tune
    • Good as always
    • String is great for metal and low tuning as well as for bluesy riffs
    • Not too bright, not too dull, lasts as long as they should not being coated.
    • Wound G
    • The wound G can rarely unravel at the dent spot
    • These strings with the WOUND G work really well on my short scale guitars
    • and I implore you, if you have been plagued by sour g strings, you must try these

    • Great strings for that infamous G string falling out of tune
    • My ESP came with a set of Cleartone 9/42's on it, but the high E was busted
    • I like a lighter gauge string for bending, but the E and A on the strings I was using were too thin sounding.
    • One high E string broke while putting it and two strings broke as soon as you do a bend
    • Low E-string broke before I even put any tension on it with the tuning key...first and last time I buy anything from D’Addario.
    • Especially the low E's thanks to my prints
    • The high E string broke in less than a
