the quality is so different from the Rico Royal reeds that it is worth those extra dollars to get a much better item

I play clarinet, and highly recomend Rico reeds because they don't crack or snap easily
Purchased them along with the Hisonic Sig Series 2610 Bb Orchestra Clarinet for my little sister's 5th grade band class and they work great.
My 10 year old had trouble using his new clarinet because of the reed strength
However through trial and mostly error, I have discovered these reeds make the "joy" of listening to your kid learn how to play the clarinet a glimmer of possibility

Beginners will break a lot of them, so no reason to go with more expensive brands
