Good signal, reliable

I needed a stronger WiFi signal

Very fast router and much better signal than my last router.

You have to adjust the antenna initially to make sure you get the best internet signal.

I bought this to replace a Linksys ea2700 N600 dual band that would not provide adequate signal strength throughout a two-story 2400 sqft home, with all upstairs bedrooms getting weak signal strength, and one room where wireless devices would get intermittently dropped from the network.

Not a corner of my house where signal is bad and most of my yard covered as well

A friend recommended I add, D-Link Systems AC1900 Ultra Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter (DWA-192) (C1 version) to boost the signal at the rear of our home.

It actually provides a stronger signal on our patio than the Nighthawk did

This router got strong independent ratings, but it had a very weak signal and couldn't reach parts of my house compared to my previous 4 year old router.

they would all show strong signals but the quality was just 50/50

Perhaps future firmware updates will resolve the signal dropout issues.

However up until it died, it was a champ, good signal, decent web interface, rebooted in a reasonable time compared to similar products.

Because of their mumbling and tenuous at best grasp of English, neither of us understood each other most of the time) only to still have WiFi that was as slow as or slower than the 8 year old modem it was replacing.

Only lasted a year conveniently at the end of warranty, currently this point it no longer works as it should
