    • Dlink's useless tech support finally decided that my router was defective and WANTED ME TO PAY TO SHIP THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT BACK TO THEM!!
    • This would lead to hours on the phone with tech support just to get them to restart the connection
    • Do register the router for longer free tech support period.
    • I spent an afternoon on chat (somewhat helpful) and phone (awful. mumbled and did not have the language skills to effectively help customers with tech support.
    • I spent 1.5 hours with the tech support on day 1 to fix the issue, but that did not help
    • My wife is an ex-software engineer (tech speak for tek-geek) and had to contact D-Link's tech support twice.
    • I have spent countless hours of my life running diagnostics tests with tech support, they sent me another router and its the same thing
    • Did call Tech Support about adding a 5Gz network after the fact
    • Unit stopped working in May of 2018, spent three hours on the phone with tech support and they could not resolve the issue

    • Some tech support articles suggest to turn off smart connect... disabling one of the major functions of the router is not a fix!!
