    D-Link Wireless AC 1200 Mbps Home Cloud App-Enabled Dual-Band Gigabit Router (DIR-850L)

    • With an ever increasing household demand for wifi access it is imperative that a wireless router can provide multiple devices prompt access to the internet
    • The back of the box also states that you cannot stream multiple HD media but says this router is good to support 10-15 devices

    • SharePort Web Access page - with the words "Home Cloud App-Enabled" included in the name of this D-Link router, I assumed it would preform as an intuitive cloud-storage device/media server
    • I place all my devices on the 5ghz band and everything just worked
    • That said, I think it's not worth buying unless you already own a 802.11ac capable device
    • The new 802.11ac standard is not quite here, but it is well on its way, and the DIR-850L is a great unit to provide high speed throughput to compatible devices, such as the latest 802.11ac-equipped Apple MacBook Air laptops, and many more wireless electronics to come
    • Either access point will run at the mode and rate of the SLOWEST device connected to that access point.
    • That being said, this is a great device.

    • I have been a loyal D-link customer for years but that was probably my last product from them.
